About Taiwan

Taipei City is the capital and a special municipality of Taiwan, and is considered to be a global city, rating as an Alpha-city by GaWC.

Taipei is an international city with very convenient transportation systems, that makes it easy for delegates to travel through the city.

Taipei City ranked 10th on Monocle’s Most Livable City Ranking in 2022. The only other Asian city making it to the top ten is Tokyo.

For accompanying delegates, Taipei offers breathtaking natural touristic sites, regular cultural festivals, world-renowned cuisine and restaurants open late into the night. There are open-air night markets, the biggest museum showcasing Chinese works of art, and more than 11,000 local temples open to visitors to experience firsthand Asian culture.

Taipei was ranked 20th in the world and 5th among Asian cities by the number of meeting organized in 2014, according to annual statistics released by the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA).
